Isaiah 59:14 – “Justice is turned back, and righteousness stands far away; for truth has stumbled in the public squares, and uprightness cannot enter.”
There are two things I loathe about predictions and fulfillments. People who rub it in, sometimes even when you didn’t disagree with their prognostication, with the chant, “I told you so!” The other is when things foretold come true and those who assiduously took the opposing view have no recollection of doing so.
Come to think of it, America is in that very situation even now. Which also brings up a third category to be loathed. It is maddening when someone is shown how many railed against what seemed to many a small thing at the time, but which in fact led to something much worse, and they say, “Yeah, but this is different, you’re just fear-mongering.”
I find the push to de-genderize places normally segregated to protect personal privacy opprobrious at best and the rabid pursuit of sexual deviants. That said, I think something larger and more important is playing out here.
“Subjective truth.” That two-word phrase sounds very much like another brutalization of the English language, “gay marriage.” And, in the case I hope to make here, that phrase also has a direct connection.
For decades, our educational system as well as the culture at large has been polluted with the concept that truth is in the mind of the holder. You tell me if that doesn’t sound a bit like how mental disorder is defined. I have dealt on several occasions with folks whose minds were ravaged by dementia and the consistent symptom is the loss of grasp on reality. I’ve seen not a few hearts broken when a parent no longer recognized their children and even denied knowing them.
Which brings me to the point of this piece. Opening men’s rooms to women who think they’re men and ladies’ rooms to men who think they’re ladies is a quintessential expression of “subjective truth.” Let’s get something straight, something is true/real or it isn’t. The word people are looking for when they abuse the word truth is the word opinion.
I’ve had many an opinion in my sixty-plus years that were later proved to not be truth. I’ve also extrapolated a few situations to possible conclusions that also crashed on the rocks of reality.
There’s simply no way to get around science that declares a man is a man and a woman is a woman and never the cross can be made. Anyone who looks in a mirror and sees the opposite sex or for whatever feelings believe they are trapped in the wrong-gendered body, is not sane. They are not embracing their own truth, they are living in denial of truth. I sympathize with them just as I have with the folks I mentioned earlier and I pray for their healing.
That said, asking at any level for society to throw reality into chaos so a few mentally sick people can feel better about their afflictions franchises the insanity and will in no way be of help to trans-whatevers.
Hey America, you awake yet? The deviants, socialists, and those who think supporting them is hip are going to keep coming up with this crap until We the People stand before their advance and start pushing them back. The slope may be slippery, but we have the cleats of truth with which to gain purchase.
“Human nature itself is evermore an advocate for liberty. There is also in human nature a resentment of injury, and indignation against wrong. A love of truth and a veneration of virtue. These amiable passions, are the ‘latent spark’… If the people are capable of understanding, seeing and feeling the differences between true and false, right and wrong, virtue and vice, to what better principle can the friends of mankind apply than to the sense of this difference?”—John Adams: the Novanglus, 1775
